Did you notice how many times the Lord Jesus asked the question “Did you not read?” or “Have you not read?”. I found 6 such instances in the gospel of Matthew itself. No doubt, He wants us to read the Bible. Throughout the Bible we see instances of people reading the Word or being instructed to read. We also see the impact that reading has on people. In the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, we see a great revival among the people of Israel because the people got together and read the word and have been changed as a result.
